The owners of Nelson Storage LLC have spent years reclaiming modern and antique architectural pieces, both commercial and household: architectural salvage doors, household items, mantels, sinks, windows, tile, and much more.

Our new favorite is an antique factory cart, manufactured by the Lineberry company in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. Often called railroad carts, these beautiful carts were originally used in railroad depots for transporting trunks, and were later used in furniture factories for moving large pieces from one specialist artisan to the next.

We have obtained a large stock of carts, in several different styles. These carts are available in original condition, fully restored, or with a polished stone top. As seen in Restoration Hardware's collection, these carts make wonderful coffee tables, perfect for a loft apartment or historic home.

We have several styles available: the floral-motif wheels, the industrial style wheels, and a few more unusual and scarce wheel types. The edge hardware also varies from cart to cart, making each cart one-of-a-kind. The carts measure approximately 48  x 28 , and the height of carts with the floral wheels are about 15" tall, and the industrial style wheels are about 16" tall.

The carts vary in style and price; unrefurbished (as-is) carts usually still have a rough surface, and may have remnants of the factory use, like drips of stain or paint, nails or staples.
With refurbishing, we attempt to keep the carts in as completely original condition as possible, only cleaner and more beautiful. We don't make any major changes to the carts when we refurbish them; but we do take them apart and clean, sand, and polish all of the components, and put them back together in better condition. Many of ours have the original "Lineberry, Wilkesboro N.C." stencil on the side, as well as on the cast iron wheels.

We ship by UPS freight, and charge the actual cost, which varies depending on where you are located. We work hard to keep the weight to a minimum, while still protecting the cart during shipping. We ship from central Virginia (zip code 22922), and surrounding states can be as low as $150, and shipping to the west coast can be $375.
